Hi Alison
I just wanted to say thank you for yesterday's course - I have always been looking forward to the eggs, but I didn't realise how restful holding a chicken could be! I think I might have been bitten by the chicken bug too...
Many thanks

Chicken Keeper Book
Chicken Keeping is a joy. You will have a constant supply of the most yummy eggs you have ever had and the fun of watching your hen’s personalities develop as they go about their day, chatting to each other whilst looking for tasty morsels in the ground. I want to encourage every one who is considering keeping a few chickens in the garden to take the plunge and go for it. You will be amazed at how friendly and tame the chickens become and how much fun they are to have around.
I originally wrote this book to accompany the Chicken Keeper courses I run, but it has now grown to a point where it has become a book in its own right and I hope it will both inspire you to order your hen house now and reassure you that you will be able to cope with all eventualities in this most rewarding of hobbies.
The book is £15 with free P&P or collect from Hook Farm for Alison to personalise it to you. If ordering for postage, please send a cheque, payable to Hook Farm Chickens, to Hook Farm, London Rd, Hook RG27 9EQ.
About Hen Houses

We are proud to sell houses which are well designed and well made.
We have four designs, intended to be either used with the attached run, or be freestanding in the garden or in a large pen. The Princess is the largest house, while the Lady House will accomodate two or three chickens comfortably. Top of the range is Cluckingham Palace, made to an exacting standard and built to last.
Click on the tabs on the left hand side for more information on each house. There are houses on display at Hook Farm if you want to come and have a look.
The houses and runs are flat packed, but have few pieces and are easy to assemble.
We can also deliver your hen house. We can deliver to any area. Local deliveries, 10 mile radius, is £10. For other areas we will provide a separate quote.
Please feel free to come and have a look at the houses on display with chickens in them to get an idea of size and type of hen accomodation. We also have the cheap Chinese houses for you to see so that you can decide what is best for you. Much better than internet shopping!!
