We have an exciting incubator hire service. You can have the magic of watching chicks hatch at home with our high visibility, fully automatic incubators. The day of hatching can be arranged to suit, so why not plan a birthday surprise!

Opening Hours

We are open weekdays in the evenings from 6.30pm to 8pm. We are closed during the day from Mondays to Fridays.

On Saturdays we are open from 11am to 6pm.

We are closed on SUNDAYS and BANK HOLIDAYS.

Boarding in and out is between 6.30 and 8pm each weekday evening and 11am to 6pm on Saturdays.

Learn Humane Culling Technique

Alison is a DEFRA registered poultry slaughter woman and we run courses to teach you how to humanely kill a chicken. It could be because the chicken is injured, an unwanted cockerel, or a chicken destined to be the next meal.

You will be taught to kill a chicken quickly and humanely in a way that you will be able to use easily at home.

Rehomes

We know that circumstances change and from time to time we get rehome chickens in. Our policy is to take hens in free and we rehome them at £5 to the new owner to cover their keep here. Unfortunately we get an overriding number of cockerels, and whilst we don't charge the new owners for them, they are usually here for a long time. We therefore charge £5 to take in a cockerel to cover our costs.

Incubators for Sale

We have ex-hire Smart incubators and ex hire RCOms for sale. They are fully automatic and are in good working order. They are £100 each.

We run Kill, Pluck, Gut and Bone courses which are 'hands on' and much better than they sound. The courses have restricted numbers to ensure individual attention. You will find more details by clicking on the courses tab.

We stock a large range of poultry equipment and essentials as well as food and supplements.

We also have an exciting incubator hire service. We will take the chicks back if you do not want to keep them, so it is a perfect educational tool at home and at school with no commitment to keeping the chicks. As well as home, school or nursery hire we have an emergency incubator hire for precious eggs that have been abandoned.

Course in Midlands 22 September 2013

The Village Hall, High Street, Hardingstone, Northampton, NN4 6DA.

There will be start times at 10.30am, 11.30am, 2.30pm and 3.30pm and each session lasts about 2 hours. The cost is £75 and £110 if a couple shares a place.
